<p>today i&#8217;m at the end of day one and hungry.  i&#8217;ve only been awake for 12hours but I&#8217;m ready to settle down.  I&#8217;m glad that i didn&#8217;t try this on a work day but although i&#8217;m hungry, this diet is supposedly a way to loose 10lbs in three days and even if i could loose 5, it would totally be worth it, so wish me luck =)</p>
<p>here&#8217;s the diet below:</p>
<p> Day 1</p>

<p>Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet &amp; Low or Equal</p>
<p>1/2 grapefruit or juice</p>

<br />This diet has been making the rounds since the 1980s or before.  I know because the first time I tried it I was in high school.  Will you lose weight.. yes probably.  But it isn&#8217;t because of some acid alkaline thing, it is because of calorie restriction.  It is just a wee bit over 1000 calories a day.  If you were to eat 1000 calories of low carb veggies and lean meat, you would lose even more weight.  The Birmingham hospital does not endorse this diet: contrary to popular belief, this diet is not associated with UAB Health System (Heart of Health Care, Birmingham, Alabama).     * The diet is not scientifically proven. At such, the long term safety and effectiveness of this diet is not known.<br />
    * If you lose weight, you can be rest assured you are losing muscle tissue and water instead of fat.<br />
    * The diet is high in fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol &#8211; the main dietary culprits related to heart disease. It also is high in sodium and low in whole grains.</p>
<p>Real cardiac units, if they need to put someone on a super fast lose dramatic weight diet always use medical liquid diets..  Most of the teaching hospitals have their own formula, but some use products such as Optifast.</p>

<br />I got this plan from a friend at work but it didn&#8217;t work for me I weighed about 140lbs and didn&#8217;t lose anything. She lost almost 10lbs though I&#8217;m not sure how much she weighed</p>

<br />to be honest a 3-day diet is pretty much a waste of time at most you will lose maybe 1-2 lbs of water weight.  short term diets that are very low cal are only good for losing water weight when you need to look a little better for an event or to squeeze into that special outfit, etc.</p>
<p>but regarding what you have listed.  the type of protein is irrelevant as long as it&#8217;s lean. so it can be lean meat, poultry, fish, seafood, etc.  3 oz. is about 1 small hamburger, 1/2 a chicken breast, 1/2 can of tuna, 1 thin pork chop..it&#8217;s not a lot of food.  and using and apple for the gf is fine as they are both low GI fruits.</p>
