It's known to be have been conceived in the cardiac unit of the hospital for the purpose of losing weight for it's patients, who needed to do it in the shortest possible time, since they would be patients who needed to undergo surgeries in a day or two and quick weight loss in this case was very essential. This diet promises to help you to lose 10 pounds in three days.
The diet is divided into three days. They are almost the same as the three day diet but since it's rich in omega-3 fatty acids, it's very good for the heart too, since it's made in consultation with the American Heart Association. The secret behind the working of this diet plan is that it works in a chemical manner to enhance metabolism and hence result in weight loss.
You are supposed stop this diet after three days and are supposed to restart in case you want to, only after a gap of two days in between at least, it's the basic rule of this diet plan. And another criteria of following this diet diligently is that you can substitute food stuffs with other recommended items, but increasing the quantity is not allowed under any circumstances.
The basic concepts of this diet are as follows:
Sweeteners are allowed with tea or diet soda.
The seasonings allowed are only salt and pepper.
Three days of the week you can follow this diet and then allow a lee-way the other four days of the week, but over-eating is not advised.
Then the first three days of the following week follow this diet and continue in the same fashion.
This diet is surely bound to help you to lose a reasonable amount of weight in the near future.
Eating normal food the other four days of the week necessarily doesn't indicate that you go on an eating spree.

According to this plan only four glasses of diet coke or water has to be drunk in a day. Since this diet solely depends on water retention, you might lose weight in the short run, that is in three days with this diet, but it's not advisable for the long run since in many instances it's known to make the person gain back all the weight lost or even more sometimes, since it's kind of a fad diet.
This may also lead to certain other health conditions like dehydration, acidity etc. and hence needs to be stopped after three days for at least two days.
