Since I gained my lil four pounds back and at 189lbs I know that I need to make a change and with three days off work, I thought I might try the three day diet.
today i’m at the end of day one and hungry. i’ve only been awake for 12hours but I’m ready to settle down. I’m glad that i didn’t try this on a work day but although i’m hungry, this diet is supposedly a way to loose 10lbs in three days and even if i could loose 5, it would totally be worth it, so wish me luck =)
here’s the diet below:
Day 1
Breakfast
Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal
1/2 grapefruit or juice
1 piece toast with 1 tablespoon peanut butter
Lunch
1/2 cup tuna
1 piece toast
Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal
Dinner
3 ounces any lean meat or chicken
1 cup green beans
1 cup carrots
1 apple
1 cup regular vanilla ice cream
Day 2
Breakfast
Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal
1 egg
1/2 banana
1 piece toast
Lunch
1 cup cottage cheese or tuna
8 regular saltine crackers
Dinner
2 beef franks
1 cup broccoli or cabbage

Has anyone heard about this diet plan. I heard that people can loose 6-9 pounds in 3 days and this diet is prescribed by hospital at Birmingham Alabama.

This diet has been making the rounds since the 1980s or before. I know because the first time I tried it I was in high school. Will you lose weight.. yes probably. But it isn’t because of some acid alkaline thing, it is because of calorie restriction. It is just a wee bit over 1000 calories a day. If you were to eat 1000 calories of low carb veggies and lean meat, you would lose even more weight. I want to lose 10 lbs fast, and this diet claims if you stick to it exactly you can lose 10lbs in 3 days. But, I am at college and only have cafateria food to work with, and some of the days there isn’t the foods provided that i need to fufill the requierments of the diet plan, like boiled eggs for instance.It can seem like alot of food at times though. So for another question, has anyone herd of a diet similar to this that works? Anything is helpful, I’m open to any suggestions =]

Hey well my friend did this diet just last week and she lost 5 pds and her mom lost 6 pounds. I am over weight and I started it today and am hoping it will work. Hope this helps.

I got this plan from a friend at work but it didn’t work for me I weighed about 140lbs and didn’t lose anything. She lost almost 10lbs though I’m not sure how much she weighed

Short-term diet do no long-term good. To lose weight and keep it off you must make a LIFE LONG lifestyle change.
All a 3-day diet is going to do is drive you mad, make you have cravings you won’t be able to control, send your body into starvation mode, and get you depressed when you gain weight once it’s over and you go back to your ‘normal’ diet.
i am on the three day diet but i hate tuna and cottage cheese. what can i substitute it for??? PLEASE HELP!
Well since tuna and cottage cheese is protien.. you can sub it for lean beef, turkey, chicken, or you could try tofu

When i had my baby 3 yrs ago i gained 50lbs. i lost 7 lbs. with the 3 day diet and i would go for 30 minute walks. Then i started this low carb high protein diet and lost 17 lbs. i lost 10lbs on my own. and i think i have like 15lbs to go. I have not regained any weight. Does any one have any suggestions?
The three day diet created in 1985 makes you loose 10 pounds every 3 days. Here it is and good luck. Don’t forget to just drink 4 glasses of water every day.

to be honest a 3-day diet is pretty much a waste of time at most you will lose maybe 1-2 lbs of water weight. short term diets that are very low cal are only good for losing water weight when you need to look a little better for an event or to squeeze into that special outfit, etc.
but regarding what you have listed. the type of protein is irrelevant as long as it’s lean. so it can be lean meat, poultry, fish, seafood, etc. 3 oz. is about 1 small hamburger, 1/2 a chicken breast, 1/2 can of tuna, 1 thin pork chop..it’s not a lot of food. and using and apple for the gf is fine as they are both low GI fruits.
